Melting chocolate, soft banana and salted walnuts from the grill
A long time ago, about 15 years, I was barbecuing with friends when someone had the brilliant idea to put a banana filled with chocolate on the grill. It made such an impression that it's still my favorite BBQ dessert.
1. Make sure the barbecue is properly heated. Cut the banana along the top so you can pull the two halves slightly apart. Push the pieces of chocolate into the opening, wrap the banana in aluminum foil and place it on the barbecue. About 10-15 minutes should be fine, but check occasionally to see if the chocolate has melted.
2. When the chocolate has melted and the banana is soft inside, take it off the BBQ. Finish with some walnuts and a little honey, scoop it up and enjoy. SO good!

This dessert is ideal when the barbecue is already on. With just a few ingredients you have a warm, sweet dessert that everyone will want to repeat.
Feel free to vary with dark or white chocolate, or swap the walnuts for pecans or hazelnuts. A scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side finishes it off.
