Are these Riedel wine glasses dishwasher-safe?
Riedel makes the Veloce glasses from ultra-thin crystal glass — that requires a little extra care. Preferably wash them by hand in lukewarm water with a mild detergent. This keeps the glass clear and prevents damage to the thin bowl. If you still want to put them in the dishwasher, use a gentle program at a low temperature, place them upright, and make sure they do not touch each other.
How many glasses are in the package?

For which type of red wine is this glass best suited?
This glass is specifically designed for complex, full-bodied red wines with high tannins — think Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The large bowl (829 ml) gives the wine room to breathe, which means: • the fruit flavors come forward more • the bitter tannins feel softer • the wine tastes more balanced as a whole Lighter, fresher red wines with low tannins benefit less from this bowl size.
