Crystal glass and the dishwasher — a sensitive subject. Riedel-glasses made of ultra-thin crystal glass are fragile because of their delicate walls, so washing by hand in warm water with a mild dish soap is the safest choice. This preserves the clarity and prevents the crystal from wearing due to harsh dishwasher detergents or the mechanical action of the dishwasher. • Wash the glasses by hand in warm water • Use a soft, lint-free cloth to polish them dry • Store them upright or hanging by the stem — not on the rim With proper care the glasses will remain clear and spotless for a long time.
