Is the Riedel Superleggero champagne glass dishwasher-safe?

Riedel recommends washing the Superleggero glasses by hand. The glass is exceptionally thin and light — that’s exactly what makes it so elegant — but that finesse also requires careful handling. Use warm water, a mild dishwashing detergent and a soft cloth or sponge. Dry the glass immediately after washing, gently, to prevent watermarks. This keeps the crystal clear and the shape perfect.

What other drinks can you use this glass for besides champagne?

This glass is designed for all sparkling wines, not just champagne. It’s perfect for: • Champagne (light, fresh, dry) • Prosecco • Cava • Franciacorta • Sekt • Blanc de Blancs • Sparkling wine (general) The slim flute shape optimises the bead (stream of bubbles), which enhances the experience of every sparkling wine.

How should I store the Superleggero glasses to prevent damage?

Because the Superleggero is exceptionally thin and light, storage deserves some attention. A few practical tips: • Store the glasses upright, never upside down on the rim — that increases the risk of damage. • Don’t place them too close together so they don’t knock against each other. • Preferably use an open rack or a glass cabinet with enough space per glass. The glasses are supplied in the characteristic Riedel packaging, which is also suitable for safe storage or as a gift.
