Riedel Pinot Noir / Nebbiolo Wine Glasses Veloce Veritas are perfect for red wines with light body, high acidity and moderate tannins. Because the chalice is large, the fruity characters of the wine are emphasized, in addition it tempers the acidity and tannins. This wine glass is suitable for the following grape varieties, among others:

Riedel doesn't make glasses for everyone, but for each wine individually, and I notice that as soon as I pour a Pinot Noir into this glass. The large bowl captures the fruity aromas of light-bodied red wines beautifully, while sharp acids and tannins recede into the background. The ultra-thin crystal glass is surprisingly light in the hand, which really elevates the tasting. If I regularly enjoy a Burgundy or an elegant Nebbiolo, this isn't an unnecessary luxury but simply the smartest choice I can make for my wine experience.

Are these wine glasses dishwasher-safe?
Crystal glass is generally sensitive to high temperatures and aggressive detergents in the dishwasher. To keep your Riedel Veloce glasses in top condition, we recommend washing them by hand in lukewarm water with a mild dishwashing detergent. Then dry them gently with a soft, lint-free cloth to prevent streaks and limescale buildup. This keeps the glasses clear and preserves the ultra-thin crystal.
How many glasses are in this set?
This set contains 2 wine glasses. The capacity per glass is 763 ml, which gives room for the wine to breathe and for the aromas to unfold.
What red wines are these glasses best suited for?
The Riedel Veloce is specifically developed for red wines with a light body, high acidity and moderate tannins. Are these glasses sturdy enough for daily use, despite the thin crystal?
The ultra-thin crystal of the Riedel Veloce is lightweight and high-quality, but it does require careful handling. For daily use, careful handling and hand washing are the best ways to keep the glasses looking their best for a long time. The glass is not intended for use in the microwave or oven.
