Suikervrije ijsthee

With the warm temperatures we've had lately and more nice weather forecast, refreshing summer drinks are never a bad idea. You might remember last year's recipe for the detox water. This delicious drink with cucumber, fresh mint and lemon is still one of my favourite summer beverages.

Recipe

Sugar-free Iced Tea

Super simple, and without tons of sugar. This iced tea is wonderfully refreshing, perfect for a warm summer day!

Total 40 min

Equipment

  • Kettle
  • Teapot or pitcher
  • Measuring cup
  • Citrus juicer
  • Spoon

Ingredients

  • 1 liter boiling water
  • 2 green tea bags
  • half a lemon
  • a handful of fresh mint leaves

Sugar-free Iced Tea

    1. Boil the water and let the tea bags steep for about 5 minutes.
    2. Add the juice of half a lemon and, if you like, a few lemon slices (depending on your taste)
    3. Let the tea cool by adding a little cold water and some ice cubes, then place it in the refrigerator.
    4. Crush a few mint leaves once the tea has cooled and add them to the pitcher. Done!

This sugar-free iced tea is a delicious, healthy thirst-quencher for warm days. The combination of green tea, lemon and fresh mint provides a refreshing taste without any need for sugar.

Make a large pitcher and store it in the refrigerator for up to two days. Add a few extra ice cubes and fresh mint leaves just before serving for a pretty and tasty result.
