How should I best care for the Riedel Superleggero likeurglazen?
Because these glasses are ultra-light and mouth-blown, they deserve a little extra care when cleaning. Hand washing is recommended — use lukewarm water and a mild dish soap. This preserves the fine rim and the clear shine for longer. • Do not use a dishwasher • Do not soak or scrub hard • Dry with a soft, lint-free cloth to prevent water spots The glasses are made of clear, transparent glass without any coating, so gentle hand treatment is sufficient.
Are these glasses suitable for drinks other than liqueur?
Yes, certainly. The slim shape and the concentrated aroma profile make the Superleggero likeurglazen especially suitable for digestifs and spirits in general. Think grappa, cognac, amaro or an aged rum served in a small measure. The glasses are not designed for wine or beer — Riedel offers specific shapes for those. For liqueur, digestifs and similar spirits these are the appropriate glasses.

What is the capacity of these liqueur glasses?
Each Riedel Superleggero likeurglas has a capacity of 248 ml. That’s larger than a classic shot glass, but the slim shape ensures you serve the liqueur or digestif in a small, concentrated portion — allowing the aromas to develop optimally. The space above the liquid is intentionally part of the design: it gives the aromas room to unfold.
Is the Superleggero glass different from a regular wine glass?
Yes, there is a clear difference. The Riedel Superleggero-serie is defined by the mouth-blown production process, where no mold but the breath of a glassblower determines the shape. Insanely fast delivery. I ordered on Sunday at lunch and got the package Monday evening in Brussels. The glasses came packaged in an additional box with carton and none of them were broken.
