With the wine glasses of the brand Riedel you get real high quality glasses in the house. The glasses are made of ultra-thin crystal glass which is very light. The Riedel Oaked Chardonnay glasses are perfect for intense and full-bodied white wines. The mould of the glass allows plenty of oxygen to reach the wine, bringing out the different aromas of the grapes. Also, the mould of the chalice ensures the perfect distribution of the wine in the mouth. The different tones and aromas are thus distributed excellently and thus tasted. The wide bowl shape provides more contact with oxygen, allowing a full, oaked Chardonnay to unfold its rich aromas completely before you taste it. That's not marketing talk: I notice the difference myself as soon as I pour a Meursault or Pouilly-Fuissé into a well-fitting glass, the nose and palate simply open differently. Are these Riedel glasses dishwasher-safe?

Riedel crystal glass is ultra-thin and therefore vulnerable to the harsh conditions in a dishwasher. To keep your glasses looking clear and beautiful for longer, we recommend washing them by hand with warm water and a mild dish soap. This preserves the crystal's shine and keeps the thin walls intact.

How many glasses are in the package?

This set contains 2 wine glasses. If you'd like more glasses for the table, keep an eye on availability, as sets can be limited.

Which wines are these glasses designed for?

The Riedel Veritas Oaked Chardonnay glasses are specially developed for intense and full-bodied white wines. They work excellently with grape varieties and wines such as: • Chardonnay • Montrachet • Meursault • Morillon • Corton-Charlemagne • Burgundy (white) • Pouilly-Fuissé For lighter, fresher white wines, other glass shapes are more suitable.

What's the best way to store these wine glasses?

Store the glasses upright in a clean, dry place — preferably not hanging upside down, as the thin rim of the crystal is vulnerable to pressure. Do not place them too close together to avoid scratches or chips. The original Riedel packaging is also a good storage option if you don't use the glasses every day.

What is the capacity of each glass?

Each glass has a capacity of 620 ml. That's more than enough to serve a standard wine pour (about 150 ml) while giving the wine plenty of room to breathe — exactly what the wide bowl shape of this glass is intended for.
