With the wine glasses from the collection Riedel you get real high quality glasses in the house. The glasses are made of ultra-thin crystal glass which is very light. The Riedel New World Shiraz Wine Glasses Veritas are perfect for balancing tannins and concentrated fruit flavors that wines of medium heaviness have. The mould of this glass is the most versatile mould for red wine of the Riedel range. The conical opening creates a large chalice that allows plenty of oxygen to enter, giving the fruit flavors and tannins plenty of room to develop properly. As a result, the flavors on the palate are fruity but with a slightly stiff, sweet finish. This wine glass is suitable for the following grape varieties:

Are these wine glasses dishwasher-safe?

Riedel recommends washing the Veritas glasses by hand. Crystal glass is ultra-thin and extremely light — that’s exactly what makes these glasses so special, but also why a dishwasher is too aggressive. Warm water, a drop of dish soap and a soft cloth are all you need. • Always wash the glasses by hand • Do not use abrasive sponges or cleaners • Dry them immediately after washing with a lint-free cloth to avoid watermarks

How many glasses are in the package?

The package contains 2 wine glasses. Each glass has a capacity of 650 ml. This gives you an immediate nice pair ready for the table.

For which grape varieties are these glasses suitable?

The Riedel Veritas New World Shiraz is designed for medium-bodied red wines with concentrated fruit flavors and firm tannins. The glasses are specifically suitable for: • Shiraz • Nero d'Avola • Malbec • Tannat Thanks to the conical opening and large bowl, fruit flavors and tannins have enough space to develop properly, resulting in a fruity profile with a slightly firm, sweet finish.

How should I store these glasses?

Because the Veritas glasses are made from ultra-thin crystal glass, storing them requires a little care: • Store the glasses upright — not on their rim, as that is most vulnerable • Don’t place them too close together to avoid knocks and scratches • Preferably keep them in a closed cabinet, away from direct sunlight The original packaging is also suitable for storing or transporting the glasses safely.

What makes crystal glass different from regular glass?

Crystal glass is thinner, lighter and clearer than standard glass — you notice this immediately when you hold the Riedel Veritas in your hand.
