This set is part of the Pay 6 Get 8 promotion: you pay for 6 glasses and take 8 home. That way you immediately have enough for a larger gathering without needing to reorder.
Which wines are these Riedel Veritas-glasses best suited for?
The Riedel Veritas Cabernet/Merlot glasses are specifically designed for complex, full-bodied red wines with substantial tannins — think Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and similar varieties. The generous bowl gives the wine room to fully develop: fruit flavors become more pronounced and the astringent edge of tannins is softened. Light, delicate red wines with low tannin levels benefit less from this particular glass model.
What is the capacity of each glass?
Each glass has a capacity of 709 ml. This is intentionally generous: the large bowl gives the wine enough space to breathe and fully express its flavors.
How should you store these wine glasses?
Store the Riedel Veritas-glasses preferably upright on a clean, dry surface — do not hang them upside down, as the thin rim is vulnerable to contact. If you have a glass cabinet, ensure there is enough space between the glasses so they cannot knock against each other. Keep them away from strong odors, because crystal glass can absorb scents that later affect the wine.
How should you wash these glasses — by hand or in the dishwasher?
For the best results and a longer lifespan we recommend washing the Riedel Veritas-glasses by hand with warm water and a mild detergent. Use a soft cloth to dry them immediately after washing to avoid streaks. Riedel glasses are made of thin, fine crystal glass that is sensitive to the high temperatures and intensive mechanical action in a dishwasher, which can lead to cloudiness, scratches or damage to the rim.
