FAQ

Does this braising pan work on induction?

Yes, the Cosy & Trendy Fontestic braadpan works on any heat source — including induction. Cast iron is naturally suitable for gas, electric, ceramic and induction. That makes it a smart choice for any kitchen, regardless of your stove.

Can this braising pan go in the oven?

Absolutely. Cast iron and the oven are a classic pairing. The Fontestic braadpan is oven-safe, so you can start a stew on the stove and then simply slide it into the oven. The sturdy handles and the lid are oven-safe as well.

How do I properly care for the enameled interior?

Proper care will keep your braising pan in top condition for years. These are the main tips: • Hand wash: wash the pan after use with warm water, mild dish soap and a soft sponge. • Avoid metal scouring pads: they will damage the enamel. • Do not dry-cook: always use enough liquid or fat to protect the interior. • Let the pan cool down before washing it — pouring cold water on hot cast iron is bad for the enamel. The enameled coating also means the pan requires little seasoning, unlike uncoated cast iron.

What is the lid with droplets for?

The lid of the Fontestic braadpan has a special design with droplets on the inside. Those droplets catch condensation while cooking and evenly redistribute it back over the dish. That way your stew or meat stays naturally moist without you having to baste constantly. The lid is included with the braadpan.

Is 6.8 liters big enough for a family?

With a diameter of 28 cm and a capacity of 6.8 liters, this braising pan is generously sized. That's enough for: • A stew or hachee for 4 to 6 people • A whole chicken or large joint of meat • Soups and one-pot dishes for the whole family For a family of four this is a comfortable, everyday size.

Heel nuttige multifunctionele pan, houdt warmte goed vast. Ik bak er ook knapperig brood in. Mooi bovendien.

Trees A. 4/5 Verified May 17, 2025

E.c. V. 4/5 Verified May 16, 2025

Ik kocht de pot in het geel. Is heel mooi.
