FAQ

Does this braising pan work on induction?

Yes, the Cosy & Trendy Fontestic braising pan works on every heat source — including induction. Cast iron is naturally suitable for gas, electric, ceramic and induction. That way you can use it on any stove without fuss. Thanks to the heavy cast iron the pan also distributes heat evenly, which on induction is especially beneficial for stews that cook slowly and gently.

Can I also use this braising pan in the oven?

Absolutely. Cast iron and the oven are a classic duo. The Fontestic braising pan — including the lid — is suitable for oven use. Ideal if you first sear a stew on the stove and then let it finish gently in the oven. When using it in the oven, keep the handles in mind: they get hot, so always use oven mitts.

How do I care for an enameled cast iron braising pan?

Good care will keep your braising pan in top condition for years. Follow these simple steps: • Wash by hand — use warm water and a soft sponge. Abrasive cleaners can damage the enamel. • Do not overheat the pan empty — always fill the pan before you heat it. • Dry the pan thoroughly after washing so the exterior does not develop spots. • Store scratch-free — do not stack the pan without protection on other pans to protect the enamel. The enameled interior does not need to be seasoned with oil, unlike untreated cast iron.

For how many people is the 2.7 liter capacity suitable?

With a capacity of 2.7 liters and a diameter of 20 cm this braising pan is ideal for 2 to 3 people. Think of a classic stew, a juicy piece of meat or a tasty ragout as the basis for a weekday meal. For larger families or a bigger dinner it's more practical to use a larger pan.

What is included when purchasing this braising pan?

When you purchase it you receive the Cosy & Trendy Fontestic braising pan including the matching lid. The lid has a special drip system on the inside, which causes condensation to fall evenly back onto the dish — this ensures a juicy result. The pan is delivered in the color Amber Gold. The Fontestic line is also available in Green Heron and Rust.

Trees A. 4/5 Verified May 17, 2025

E.c. V. 4/5 Verified May 16, 2025

Ik kocht de pot in het geel. Is heel mooi.

Karel N. 4/5 Verified March 15, 2025

Evenals de ovale pan perfect.
