FAQ

Does this braising pan work on induction?

Yes, the Cosy & Trendy Fontestic braadpan works on any heat source — including induction. Cast iron is naturally suitable for gas, electric, ceramic and induction. That way you always have the right pan, whatever stove you use.

Can I also use this braising pan in the oven?

Absolutely. Cast iron and the oven are a golden combination. You can slide the Fontestic braadpan straight from the stove into the oven without any problem — ideal for stews that you first sear and then let cook slowly. Make sure to use oven gloves, because the cast iron and the handles get hot.

How do I best maintain the enameled interior?

The enameled non-stick interior is not difficult to maintain — you just need to do a few things: • Let the pan cool down after use before you clean it. Sudden temperature changes are bad for the enamel. • Use soft sponges or a soft brush with warm soapy water. Avoid scouring pads or aggressive cleaners. • Dry the pan thoroughly after washing to prevent rust on the cast iron exterior. The inside of the pan is enameled, so you don’t need an extra seasoning step like with untreated cast iron.

Is the braising pan suitable for the dishwasher?

We advise against the dishwasher for cast iron pans, even if they are enameled inside. The aggressive detergents and high temperatures in a dishwasher can damage the enamel and shorten the pan’s lifespan. Hand washing in warm soapy water will keep the pan in top condition.

In which sizes and colors is the Fontestic braising pan available?

This braising pan is available in the size Ø 24 cm with a capacity of 4,6 liters — roomy enough for a stew for the whole family. The Fontestic line is available in three colors: • Green Heron (this variant) • Rust • Amber Gold Each color has the same cast iron base with enameled interior and the lid with drip structure.

Heel nuttige multifunctionele pan, houdt warmte goed vast. Ik bak er ook knapperig brood in. Mooi bovendien.

Trees A. 4/5 Verified May 17, 2025

E.c. V. 4/5 Verified May 16, 2025

Ik kocht de pot in het geel. Is heel mooi.

Karel N. 4/5 Verified March 15, 2025

Evenals de ovale pan perfect.
