FAQ

How do I properly care for this cast-iron roasting pan?

Cast iron is a material that will last for years with a little attention. A few practical tips: • Washing: You can put the pan in the dishwasher, but hand washing extends the life of the enamel. • Drying: Always dry the pan immediately after washing — do not leave it damp. • Storage: Store the pan with the lid slightly ajar so that no moisture becomes trapped. • Avoid scratching: Use wooden or silicone utensils to protect the enameled layer. The enameled non-stick coating means you don't need to season it as you would with untreated cast iron.

Is this roasting pan also suitable for use on the BBQ?

Yes, the Cosy & Trendy Fontestic roasting pan is suitable for all heat sources, including the BBQ. That makes it versatile — from the gas hob to the outdoor grill. Suitable heat sources are: • Gas • Electric • Induction • Ceramic • BBQ • Oven The pan is ovenproof, so you can easily finish a dish in the oven after searing on the stove.

What is the capacity of this pan and how many people is it suitable for?

The roasting pan has a capacity of 6 liters and dimensions of 31 x 24 x 12 cm. With that size you can easily prepare a stew or other dish for four to six people. The oval shape is practical for larger pieces of meat, such as a whole chicken or a rolled roast, that don't fit well in a round pan.

Is the lid included with this roasting pan?

Yes, the lid is included with purchase. The roasting pan is supplied as a complete set, so you can start using it right away. The lid traps heat and moisture during simmering, which results in tender and juicy dishes when braising.

How heavy is this cast-iron roasting pan and what should I watch out for in daily use?

Cast iron is naturally a heavy material — that is exactly what makes it so good at distributing and retaining heat. Keep in mind that a cast-iron pan of this size feels substantial, especially when filled. A few useful tips for daily use: • Preheating: Let the pan warm up gradually over low to medium heat — cast iron doesn’t need very high temperatures to perform well. • Avoid thermal shock: Do not put a hot pan directly into cold water; that can damage the enamel. • Avoid metal utensils: Prefer wooden or silicone spatulas to protect the non-stick coating. The enameled interior makes the pan easy to keep clean and suitable for both everyday use and special occasions.

Trees A. 4/5 Verified May 17, 2025

E.c. V. 4/5 Verified May 16, 2025

Ik kocht de pot in het geel. Is heel mooi.
