FAQ

How long does the WoodWick Black Cherry candle burn approximately?

The WoodWick Black Cherry Ellipse scented candle gives you about 50 hours of burn time. That makes it ideal if you want to regularly enjoy a fragrant atmosphere — whether it burns for an hour every evening or only on special occasions.

How do I care for the wooden wick properly so the candle continues to burn optimally?

A wooden wick needs a bit more attention than a regular wick, but it's very simple: • Trim the wick before each lighting to about 3–5 mm. This prevents an overly large flame and soot. • Carefully remove charred wood with a tissue or a wick trimmer. • When burning for the first time, let the candle burn long enough until the entire top has melted — this prevents a 'tunnel' in the wax. With this small amount of care you'll get the most out of your 50 hours of burn time.

What sizes is the WoodWick Black Cherry Ellipse available in?

The WoodWick Black Cherry Ellipse is available in two sizes: • 9 cm — compact size, perfect for smaller spaces. • 19 cm — larger size, for a stronger scent in bigger rooms. Both versions are scented glass candles with a wooden wick.

Is the glass container of the WoodWick candle reusable?

Yes, the glass can be reused after use. Wait until the glass has completely cooled and then remove the remaining wax by placing the glass briefly in warm water — the wax will then come off easily. Rinse the glass afterwards with warm water and dish soap. Wash by hand; the dishwasher is not suitable for the glass because of the glue and the label.

Where is the best place to put the WoodWick scented candle?

Always place the candle on a heat-resistant, stable surface — away from drafts, curtains and other flammable materials. Drafts affect the flame of a wooden wick more than a regular wick, which can cause the candle to burn unevenly or go out. A sheltered spot in the living room or bathroom works best.
