How can I make the candle burn as long as possible?

A few smart habits really make a difference. These are the main tips: • First burn: on the first lighting, let the candle burn long enough for the entire surface to melt. This prevents the candle from tunneling. • Trim the wick: trim the wooden wick before each lighting to about 3–5 mm. This helps it burn cleaner and more steadily. • Burn time per session: do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time to preserve the fragrance quality and the wick. • Avoid drafts: keep the candle away from open windows or vents — that prevents uneven burning. The WoodWick Large has an approximate burn time of 90 hours.

Is the candle safe to use on a wooden or marble surface?

The candle comes in a glass jar, but the bottom can become hot while burning. Always place the candle on a heat-resistant coaster or dish — do not put it directly on wood, marble, or a tablecloth. This protects your surface and lets you enjoy it worry-free. The candle measures 18 cm high with a diameter of 10 cm, so also make sure there is enough clearance above the candle, free from curtains or shelves.

How quickly does the scent spread in a room?

The WoodWick Large is powerful enough for a medium to large room. Thanks to the combination of the wooden wick and the Large variant's high wax volume, the fragrance is released gradually and evenly. The top notes — white moss, orange blossom and cade — are noticeable first. Over time the heart notes (carnation, violet, tuberose) and the warm base notes (patchouli, vetiver, cedarwood) come forward. For the best scent experience, burn the candle in an enclosed or lightly ventilated room.

Can I reuse the glass jar after the candle is finished?

Yes, the glass jar of the WoodWick is very suitable for a second life. After the candle has burned out, remove the remaining wax by placing the jar briefly in warm water or carefully scooping it out. Then rinse well with warm water and dish soap. The jar is sturdy and stylish enough to be used as a pen holder, small vase, or storage jar.

What is the difference between WoodWick's wooden wick and a regular cotton wick?

The wooden wick is what makes WoodWick unique. It provides two things a regular cotton wick doesn't: • Sound: the wooden wick produces a soft, crackling sound while burning — similar to a fireplace. • Burn behavior: a wooden wick burns wider than a cotton wick, causing the wax surface to melt more evenly and the fragrance to be released more efficiently. Note that a wooden wick requires a little more maintenance: trim it before each lighting and remove any burnt residue for a stable flame.
