How can I make the candle last as long as possible?

A few smart habits make a big difference. This is how to get the most from your WoodWick scented candle: • First burn: allow the candle to burn long enough so the entire top layer becomes liquid. This prevents the candle from tunneling. • Trim the wick: trim the wooden wick before each use to about 5 mm. That ensures an even flame and less soot. • Burn time: do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time for best results. • Avoid drafts: place the candle away from open windows or drafts — this prevents uneven burning. The WoodWick Large Frasier Fir has an approximate burn time of 130 hours.

Is the candle safe on a table or sideboard without a heat-resistant coaster?

Good question — the glass can get hot while burning. Note the following: • Always use a coaster or a heat-resistant surface under the candle, especially on sensitive materials like wood, lacquer, or marble. • The glass holder does not fully protect your furniture from heat that is released through the base. • Never leave the candle unattended and keep it out of reach of children and pets. The candle comes in a glass holder measuring 18 cm high and ø 10 cm.

Can I reuse the glass holder after the candle is finished?

Yes, the glass holder of the WoodWick scented candle is well suited for reuse. Here's how to do it: • Leave a small layer of wax (at least 1 cm) — never burn a candle completely down, as that can damage the glass from overheating. • Remove the remaining wax by briefly placing the glass in hot water or putting it in the freezer. The wax will then contract and come loose. • Then clean the glass with warm water and dish soap. The stylish glass jar is ø 10 cm and 18 cm high, making it great for reuse as a tealight holder or storage jar.

Why does the wick of this candle crackle, and is that normal?

Yes, that's completely normal — and it's intentional. The WoodWick scented candle has a wooden wick instead of a regular cotton wick. Wood burns with a soft, soothing crackling sound, similar to a fireplace. • The crackling is a feature of the WoodWick brand, not a defect. • If the wick is too long, the sound may decrease or the flame may become less stable — trim the wick to about 5 mm in that case. • A clean, short-trimmed wick gives the most pronounced crackling effect. The wooden wick is a deliberate choice by WoodWick to enhance the candle experience with both sound and scent.

How should I store the candle when I'm not using it?

Store it smartly to keep your scented candle in top condition: • Away from direct sunlight: UV light can weaken the scent and affect the color of the wax. • Cool and dry: store the candle at room temperature, not in a humid area such as a bathroom. • Cover the candle: use the lid (if included) or a lightweight cloth to prevent dust and scent evaporation. • Store upright: this keeps the wax even and prevents leaks.
