FAQ
Which jars do these rings fit?
These rubber rings from Bormioli Rocco are specifically designed for the Fido-lijn van vierkante weckpotten. They fit the following jars: • Bormioli Weckpot Fido Vierkant 500 ml • Bormioli Weckpot Fido Vierkant 1 Liter • Bormioli Weckpot Fido Vierkant 3 Liter Note: always use the correct ring for your jar — that is the only way to guarantee a truly airtight seal.
How many rings are in one package?
You get 6 rubber rings per package. That’s useful if you use multiple jars or want a spare for when a ring wears out.
How should I store the rings when I’m not using them?
Store the rings in a dry, dark place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Rubber can dry out or deform over time if exposed to heat or UV light for long periods. By storing them properly you keep them flexible and effective for an airtight seal.
When is it time to replace the rubber ring?
Replace the ring as soon as you notice it is cracked, hardened, deformed, or no longer sealing properly. A damaged ring will no longer keep the jar airtight, which shortens the shelf life of the contents. Regularly checking — especially with frequent use — is a good habit. Because this set contains 6 pieces, you’ll always have a spare on hand.
Can I use these rings for canning (heating in the jar)?
The rings are designed for use with the Fido-weckpotten van Bormioli Rocco and provide an airtight seal. Bormioli Rocco has specialized in glass storage and tableware since 1825 and is known for the quality and durability of their products. For specific instructions on canning and maximum temperatures I recommend consulting the manual for your Fido jar to be sure you are using the ring correctly.
It arrived very quickly. All six jars were packed very carefully with lots of packaging to make sure that there was no damage. Very impressed with the diligence and care and professionalism of how it was all presented and delivered to me to make sure it arrived intact.
Ik ben heel blij met deze potjes: ze maken mijn keuken een stuk overzichtelijker en doordat ze vierkant zijn ipv rond kan ik mijn beperkte kastruimte goed benutten :)
