FAQ
Can I clean the preserving jars in the dishwasher?
Yes, the Bormioli Rocco Fido preserving jars are dishwasher-safe — convenient for everyday use. Do note one important point: remove the metal clasp before putting the jar in the dishwasher. If you don’t, the clasp can become damaged. Wash the glass part in the dishwasher as usual. It’s best to rinse the metal clasp by hand.
How many jars are in this set and what are the exact dimensions?
This set contains 6 preserving jars — giving you a complete basic supply right away. Each jar has the following dimensions: • Size: 10 x 10 x 14 cm (square) • Capacity: 750 ml per jar • Opening: diameter 9 cm Because of the square shape, the jars stack and arrange more efficiently than round variants.
What is best to store in these 750 ml jars?
With a capacity of 750 ml and an opening of 9 cm, these jars are best suited for smaller food items. Think of: • Herbs and spices • Sauces and dressings • Spreads (such as jam or peanut butter) • Muesli or cornflakes • Candy • Fruit or fruit juice The 100% airtight seal keeps your food fresher for longer.
Is the glass of these preserving jars strong enough for daily use?
Yes, absolutely. The Bormioli Rocco Fido jars are made of high-quality glass, specially designed for intensive, daily use. Bormioli Rocco is known for its sturdy glass storage goods — this is not thin decorative glass, but a jar that does the job. The square shape also contributes to the jar’s strength and stability.
Are these preserving jars also suitable for canning or sterilizing food?
The Bormioli Rocco Fido jars are primarily intended as airtight storage jars for dry and liquid food items in the kitchen. The description explicitly lists them as storage jars, not as canning jars for heat processing or sterilizing. They are excellent for storing, for example, sauces, herbs, muesli, or candy without heat treatment.
It arrived very quickly. All six jars were packed very carefully with lots of packaging to make sure that there was no damage. Very impressed with the diligence and care and professionalism of how it was all presented and delivered to me to make sure it arrived intact.
Ik ben heel blij met deze potjes: ze maken mijn keuken een stuk overzichtelijker en doordat ze vierkant zijn ipv rond kan ik mijn beperkte kastruimte goed benutten :)
