FAQ
Are the metal closures suitable for the dishwasher?
The glass jars themselves are dishwasher-safe — easy and hygienic to clean. But note: always remove the metal closures before placing the jars in the dishwasher. This prevents rust or damage to the closure.
How airtight are these preserving jars exactly?
The Bormioli Rocco Fido preserving jars are 100% airtight. The metal clasp presses the rubber sealing ring firmly against the glass, meaning air — and therefore odors and moisture — cannot get in. That makes them ideal for items you want to keep optimally fresh, such as herbs, sauces, muesli or fruit.
What exactly is included in this set?
This set contains 4 Bormioli Rocco Fido preserving jars, each with a capacity of 1 liter and dimensions of 11 x 11 cm. The opening of each jar has a diameter of 9 cm. The metal closures are included with each jar.
Which foods are best stored in these preserving jars?
Thanks to the 100% airtight seal and the strong glass, these jars are very versatile. Think of: • Dry products: muesli, cornflakes, herbs and sweets • Spreads and sauces • Fruit and fruit juice The square 11 x 11 cm format also makes them handy for stacking or placing neatly side by side in your cupboard or fridge.
What material are the Bormioli Fido jars made of and how sturdy are they?
The preserving jars are made of high-quality glass. That makes them strong, wear-resistant and suitable for everyday use. Glass does not absorb odors or flavors, which helps preserve the shelf life and taste quality of your stored products.
It arrived very quickly. All six jars were packed very carefully with lots of packaging to make sure that there was no damage. Very impressed with the diligence and care and professionalism of how it was all presented and delivered to me to make sure it arrived intact.
Ik ben heel blij met deze potjes: ze maken mijn keuken een stuk overzichtelijker en doordat ze vierkant zijn ipv rond kan ik mijn beperkte kastruimte goed benutten :)
