FAQ
Can I put the Bormioli Fido weckpot in the dishwasher?
Yes — you can clean the Bormioli Fido weckpot in the dishwasher, which makes maintenance very easy. Note: remove the metal clasp before putting the jar in the dishwasher. You can wash the metal clamp separately. This prevents damage to the closure and helps the jar function well for years.
How large is the jar opening — will a large spoon or scoop fit through it?
The opening of the Bormioli Fido weckpot has a diameter of 9 cm. That is convenient for scooping herbs or candy, but for wider utensils such as large serving spoons the opening can be tight. A small measuring spoon or dessert spoon fits through easily.
What exactly is included in this set?
This set contains 2 Bormioli Rocco Weckpot Fido jars with a diameter of ø 17.5 cm and a capacity of 5 litres each. Each jar is equipped with a metal clip closure that seals the jar 100% airtight.
What is best to store in this 5‑litre weckpot?
The Bormioli Fido weckpot, thanks to its 100% airtight seal, is ideal for storing dry foods. For example: • Candy • Herbs and spices • Fruit juice The jar has a 5‑litre capacity and a 9 cm opening, which makes it most suitable for smaller ingredients or liquids that can be poured through the opening.
Is the glass of the weckpot strong enough for daily use?
Definitely. The Bormioli Fido weckpot is made of high-quality glass specially designed for daily use. The glass is extra strong, so the jar withstands normal wear from regular filling, cleaning and use. That's exactly why Bormioli Rocco has been a trusted name for decades in the world of storage and preserving jars.
It arrived very quickly. All six jars were packed very carefully with lots of packaging to make sure that there was no damage. Very impressed with the diligence and care and professionalism of how it was all presented and delivered to me to make sure it arrived intact.
Ik ben heel blij met deze potjes: ze maken mijn keuken een stuk overzichtelijker en doordat ze vierkant zijn ipv rond kan ik mijn beperkte kastruimte goed benutten :)
