How can I make my WoodWick candle burn for as long as possible?

A few smart habits make a big difference. This is how you get the most out of your WoodWick scented candle: • Trim the wooden wick to about 3–4 mm before each lighting. This prevents an overly large flame and soot. • Let the candle burn long enough the first time — until the entire top is liquid. This prevents tunneling (a hollow in the middle of the candle). • Never burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Let it cool completely before relighting. • Keep the candle out of drafts. Drafts make the flame flicker and speed up the wax consumption. The WoodWick White Tea & Jasmine Mini has an approximate burn time of 20 hours.

Is the WoodWick mini candle meant to be burned all at once, or can I use it multiple times?

You can simply light the candle multiple times — that’s actually the idea. The roughly 20 hours of burn time can be divided across several sessions as you wish. Do follow the recommended maximum burn time of 4 hours per session so the candle performs well and the scent releases optimally. Each time, make sure the wax has fully solidified before relighting.

What is the easiest way to light a wooden wick?

A wooden wick works a bit differently than a cotton wick, but with the right approach it’s easy. Do it like this: • Hold the flame (from a long lighter or match) along the width of the wick — not only at one point. • Give the wick a moment to catch; wood needs a few seconds longer than cotton. • If the wick is wet with wax, trim off the charred tip and try again. A short, clean wick of 3–4 mm is the easiest and most even to light.
