How do I make the candle last as long as possible?

A few smart habits make a big difference. This is how you get the most out of your WoodWick Cashmere: • First burn: let the candle burn until the entire surface is liquid. This prevents a ‘tunnel’ forming in the middle. • Trim the wick: trim the wooden wick before each relighting to about 5 mm. This helps it burn evenly and crackle best. • Burn time per session: limit each burn to a maximum of 4 hours for optimal performance. The WoodWick Cashmere has an approximate total burn time of 20 hours.

Is the candle safe to use on a wooden or delicate surface?

The candle comes in a glass container, but the glass can become warm while burning. Always place the candle on a heat-resistant coaster or dish — especially if you put it on a wooden table, countertop, or other delicate surface. This protects the surface and lets you enjoy the soothing crackle of the wooden wick worry-free. The candle measures 8 cm high with a diameter of 7 cm, making it compact enough for a side table, windowsill, or countertop.

What is the easiest way to light the wooden wick?

A wooden wick behaves differently from a cotton wick — once you know how it works, lighting it is hassle-free. • Use a long lighter or match and hold the flame horizontally along the width of the wick. • Give the wick a moment: wood needs a few seconds to catch properly. • If the wick goes out after the first attempt, remove the small black char with a tissue or tweezers and try again. A well-maintained 5 mm wick gives a stable flame and the characteristic, soothing crackle every time.

When is it time to dispose of the candle?

Stop burning once there is about 1 cm of wax left at the bottom of the glass. Burning past that point can cause the glass to overheat. This applies to all candles in glass containers. After roughly 20 hours of burning the WoodWick Cashmere Mini is finished — you can then reuse the empty glass as a tealight holder or for small items.
