FAQ

How long does the WoodWick Fireside Mini candle burn?

The WoodWick Fireside Mini burns for approximately 20 hours. That's a generous serving of crackling fireside atmosphere for the size of this candle (8 cm high, ø 7 cm). To get the most out of your burn time, allow the candle to burn long enough on the first use until the entire top layer of wax has melted. This prevents tunneling and lets you enjoy the full scent profile for longer.

How do I maintain the wooden wick for an optimal flame?

A wooden wick behaves a little differently than a cotton wick — it calls for a small adjustment to your routine: • Trim the wick to about 5 mm before each new lighting. A wick that's too long produces a large, uneven flame and more soot. • Remove burnt remnants from the wick carefully with your fingers or a wick trimmer once the candle is completely cooled. • Store the candle covered and out of direct sunlight to preserve the scent profile. A properly trimmed wooden wick delivers the characteristic, soothing crackle that WoodWick is known for.

Is the candle glass reusable after the candle is finished?

Yes, the glass jar of the WoodWick Fireside Mini is excellent for reuse. Once the candle has fully burned down, remove the remaining wax as follows: • Place the jar briefly in the freezer — the wax will contract and release. • Or carefully pour in some hot (not boiling) water so the remaining wax floats to the top and can be easily lifted out. • Then clean the glass with some dish soap and warm water. After cleaning you can use the jar as a tealight holder, pen cup, or small storage pot.

What fragrance notes are in the WoodWick Fireside and how does the scent develop over time?

The WoodWick Fireside has a layered scent profile that unfolds as the candle burns: • Top notes: Italian bergamot and apple peel — fresh and light, the first scents you notice when lighting. • Heart notes: golden amber and black oak — warm and full, the character of the candle. • Base notes: smoked mahogany, vetiver and musk — deep and long-lasting, the scent that lingers longest in the room. The combination of wood, amber and musk makes this a warm, rounded fragrance that suits the autumn and winter months well.

What room size is the WoodWick Fireside Mini suitable for?

The WoodWick Fireside Mini (8 cm high, ø 7 cm) is a compact candle and is therefore best suited for smaller spaces. Think of: • A bathroom • A small study or office corner • A bedroom • A toilet In larger living rooms or open-plan spaces the Mini provides a subtler scent experience. If you want a stronger scent presence in a large room, combine multiple units or choose a larger size from the WoodWick line.
