The Riedel Wine Glass Guide helps you choose exactly the right glass for every wine you pour. Yes — the glass really makes a difference — not as an elitist statement, but because the shape influences the taste. Here you'll find everything you need to choose with confidence: from glasses for full-bodied reds to crisp whites and sparkling bubbles.

Why the right Riedel wine glass matters

Riedel isn't a name people drop lightly — this brand pioneered grape-specific glassware. The bowl, the rim and the opening are deliberately designed to concentrate aromas and balance flavours. A Bordeaux glass opens a full Cabernet Sauvignon differently than a universal glass does. That's not chance, that's craftsmanship.

How to choose the right glass

Red wine, white wine, rosé or champagne — each grape variety calls for a different glass shape. For reds like Pinot Noir, choose a wide, round bowl that gives aromas room to breathe. Whites fare better in narrower, taller goblets that preserve freshness. Bubbles belong in a flute or tulip-shaped glass that protects the mousse. This guide explains which glass suits each wine style — clear, concrete and hassle-free.
