Are these wine glasses dishwasher-safe?

Yes, the Schott Zwiesel Tulip wine glasses are fully dishwasher-safe. The patented Tritan®-kristalglas was specially developed to withstand repeated dishwasher cycles — without loss of brilliance or the glasses becoming cloudy. After thousands of washes they still come out of the machine clear and undamaged.

How many glasses are in the set and what is the capacity?

The set contains 4 white wine glasses of the Tulip type. Each glass has a capacity of 356 ml. For optimal tasting, fill the glass to about one third — this gives the wine room to breathe and allows the aromas to express themselves.

How resistant to breakage are these glasses really?

The Tulip glasses are made from Tritan®-kristalglas, Schott Zwiesel's patented material. This gives them as much as a 40% lower risk of breakage compared to ordinary glass. They are also scratch-resistant, so they are less likely to become dull with daily use. They were originally developed for use in top-class hotels and restaurants — environments where glasses are put under heavy strain.

Which white wines are these glasses suitable for?

The Tulip shape is particularly well suited to crisp white wines. The slightly tapered bowl captures aromas and directs them toward the nose, allowing fruity, mineral and floral notes to come through more clearly. The 356 ml volume provides enough room for air contact so that white wines can open up in the glass.
