Are these wine glasses dishwasher safe?
Yes, the Schott Zwiesel Tulip red wine glasses are fully dishwasher safe. The Tritan®-kristalglas is specially developed to retain its shine even after hundreds of dishwasher cycles — no dull rims, just the bright sparkle you want. Use a normal dishwasher program and avoid aggressive cycles with extremely high temperatures. A short rinse with warm water before use is a handy extra step for optimal results.
How many glasses are in the set and what is the capacity per glass?
You will receive a set of 4 red wine glasses. Each glass has a capacity of 497 ml — roomy enough to swirl the wine and let it breathe, but not so large that it feels awkward in the hand or on the table.
Are the glasses also suitable for intensive daily use?
Absolutely. The Tulip glasses are designed for use in top-class hotels and restaurants, so daily use at home is no problem. Thanks to Tritan®-kristalglas you get: • 40% less chance of breakage than ordinary glass • Scratch-resistant surface that preserves the clear appearance • A balanced base and sturdy stem construction that ensure the glasses stand firmly on the table The glass is machine-made in Germany.
What are these glasses made of and what makes Tritan®-kristalglas special?
The glasses are made of Tritan®-kristalglas, a material specially developed and patented by Schott Zwiesel. Tritan® differs from ordinary glass in three ways: • Exceptional clarity — the aromas and colors of the wine are shown to their best advantage • Durability — significantly better resistance to scratches and breakage • Lasting shine — the glass stays clear, even after frequent use and washing The glasses are machine-produced in Germany.
How should I store these wine glasses?
Store the Tulip wine glasses preferably upright in a stable, dust-free place — not upside down on a glass rack, so the rim (the thinnest and most vulnerable part) is not unnecessarily stressed. Thanks to the scratch- and break-resistance of the Tritan®-kristalglas they are more robust than average wine glasses, but careful storage always extends their lifespan. Avoid contact with hard crockery or cutlery during storage to prevent scratches.
