Enjoy tea on the go without hassle - it sounds simpler than it is. Because who doesn't know it: a mug that leaks in your bag, a drink that is already cold before you reach your destination, or the eternal search for a tea bag holder. The Mepal Thermos Mug Ellipse Nordic Sage 500 ml solves all that in one go. This is your new daily companion - stylish, smart, and made to go wherever you go.
Hot tea at 10 AM, cold lemonade at 3 PM - just from the same mug
The vacuum insulation of the Ellipse thermos mug is not just marketing talk, but a promise you feel every day. In the morning, put your favorite loose tea in the integrated infuser, fill the mug with boiling water, and close it. Hours later - up to 4 to 6 hours - you can still enjoy a delicious warm sip, just like you would at home. And if you fill it in the evening with iced tea or cold fruit water? Then it stays cold for up to 12 hours. No compromises, no disappointments.
Why the Mepal Ellipse deserves a place in your bag
- 100% leak-proof - Toss it worry-free in your backpack, bag, or bike bag. No wet items, no drama.
- Integrated tea filter - Ideal for loose tea, tea bags, or fresh ginger and herbs. Always the tastiest tea, always homemade.
- 4-6 hours warm, 12 hours cold - Double-walled vacuum insulation does exactly what it should do, without you having to do anything.
- 500 ml capacity - Large enough for a generous cup of tea, compact enough for most cup holders in the car or on the bike.
- 90% recycled stainless steel - Good for you, good for the planet. Sturdy quality that lasts for years.
- 100% BPA-free - Safe material use, no harmful substances. You only taste your drink.
- Dishwasher safe up to 65 degrees - Easy to clean, even after a day full of ginger-lemon infusions.
- Handy carrying loop - Clip it to your bag, bike bag, or backpack. Always within reach.
The infuser that turns your mug into a complete tea set
This might be the smartest part of the Ellipse: the integrated tea infuser. No separate container, no wet tea bags that you have to put down somewhere, no loose leaves swimming in your drink. You put your loose tea, tea bag, or fresh herbs in the filter, place it in the mug, fill it with water, and that's it. Steep your tea as long as you want, remove the infuser, and enjoy. Whether you love a light green tea, a strong Earl Grey, or a warming ginger-lemon mix - anything goes, anything is allowed. This is how tea drinking should be: fresh, conscious, and delicious.
💡 Cookinglife Tip: Add a slice of fresh lemon and a piece of ginger to the infuser for a quick, homemade "wellness tea". Fill with nearly boiling water (around 90 degrees for green tea, 100 degrees for black tea) and let steep for 3-5 minutes for the perfect flavor. Just as delicious on the go as at home.
Nordic Sage: a color with character
The color Nordic Sage is exactly what the name promises: a muted, warm green tone that doesn't shout for attention, but always gets it. Refined, calm, and with a touch of Scandinavian no-nonsense. The combination with the silver-colored stainless steel gives the mug a neat, modern look that fits in an office, a coffee corner, or at a meeting table. But even outside on a terrace or in the park, the Ellipse is just a nice sight. Good design needs no explanation - it speaks for itself.
Durably made, durably used
Mepal consciously chooses 90% recycled stainless steel in the Ellipse thermos mug. That is not only good for the environment, it is also just smarter production. Recycled stainless steel is just as strong, just as hygienic, and just as durable as new steel - but with a much smaller ecological footprint. Combined with the BPA-free plastic and silicone parts, this is a mug made to last. Buy it once, use it daily, throw nothing away. This is how quality should work.
