Can I wash these placemats in the dishwasher?
No, these LIND DNA placemats are not suitable for the dishwasher. Leather and heavy exposure to water simply don’t go well together — it damages the material. Here’s how to care for them properly: • Remove stains immediately with the LIND DNA deep-cleaning soap for recycled leather. • For daily maintenance use the Clean & Care spray: spray onto a soft cloth and wipe the placemat. • Always let them air dry and store them flat to prevent warping.
Are these placemats suitable for placing hot pans or dishes on?
The LIND DNA Nupo placemats protect your table from heat, scratches and stains — they are therefore designed to hold hot plates and dishes as well. If you want to keep the placemats looking their best for as long as possible, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or moisture, as that can damage the leather. The base is made of 20% natural rubber, which provides a stable grip on the table.
What is the difference between 'curved' and a regular rectangular placemat?
The curved design means the placemats have rounded corners and a slightly curved shape. This has two advantages: • It fits stylishly around your plates, making your table setting look neater instantly. • The curved edge prevents the placemat from easily slipping during a meal.
