Diamant Sabatier Chef's knife Riyouri 15 cm
Perfect for every cutting task, from raw or roasted meat to vegetables or soft fruit
Blade made of high-alloy stainless X45CrMoV15 steel
Special non-slip structure
Dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended
Quickly cutting large quantities of food? Or chop vegetables? No hobby or professional chef can do without a good chef's knife. This Diamant Sabatier chef's knife, with a smaller blade of 15 cm, belongs to the basic equipment of every cook. The non-slip structure on the handle ensures perfect hand positioning. In addition, because of their wide blade, chef's knives are suitable for moving food easily. Also, you can even crack nuts or shellfish with the back of the knife. Now that's convenient!
Diamant Sabatier is known as a quality brand and is one of the most widely used knife brands in the catering industry. Diamant Sabatier gives a lifetime manufacturer's warranty on material and manufacturing defects due to its strict quality standards. Would you like more information about the X45CrMoV15 steel that is Diamant Sabatier used? On our information page you will find a detailed explanation of the types of knife steel we use at Cookinglife offer.
We recommend storing your knife in a Knife block or hang it from a knife magnet. This extends its life and is safer. After all, not only is it dangerous to put your knife loose in your kitchen drawer, but it also damages the cutting edge of the knife. The knives of Diamant Sabatier are best cleaned with warm water and possibly a little soap. We recommend drying the knife immediately after cleaning, otherwise oxidation spots may appear on the knife and that is of course a shame.
What does our expert say?
Trade Show Specialist
For a 15 cm chef's knife this is a surprisingly versatile size: compact enough for herbs and shallots, yet strong enough to tackle a pumpkin. The X45CrMoV15 steel with a hardness of 56 to 57 HRC provides an edge that stays sharp for a long time, and you notice it right from the first cut. What I appreciate about Diamant Sabatier is that they don't compromise on the grip, because with wet hands you just want to keep control without having to think about it. The seamless finish between blade and handle isn't a small detail but a smart choice, because a gap there becomes a breeding ground for bacteria and you simply don't want that in your kitchen. If you're looking for a reliable everyday chef's knife that proves itself in practice, this is a solid choice you'll enjoy for years.

Warranty
We offer a one-year warranty period on all products, unless otherwise indicated under the features of the respective product. Warranty terms may vary by supplier.
The higher the hardness, the longer the knife will be sharp and more delicate. The hardness of a knife is indicated by HRC values. Read below what the differences between these values are to help you make the right choice.
Up to 52 HRC
This hardness is too soft to make a quality kitchen knife.
52-54 HRC
This hardness is also still quite soft and offers reasonable quality. This is still optional for a small paring knife, for larger kitchen knives it is not good enough quality.
54-56 HRC
This hardness is often found on French kitchen knives and is certainly hard enough for kitchen use. Knives with this hardness require more maintenance and will need to be sharpened more often with a sharpening steel to keep the knife sharp.
56-58 HRC
This hardness is often found in German kitchen knives. These knives are suitable for many kitchen tasks and can take a lot. They are easy to keep sharp with a sharpening steel.
58-60 HRC
This hardness is mainly found in kitchen knives from Japan. These knives have a thinner blade, which makes them lighter in weight, and they have been shown to stay sharp longer. These types of knives are sharpened at a sharper angle, making self sharpening a lot more difficult.
60-62 HRC
This hardness is also found in Japanese kitchen knives. The rule is: the harder, the longer sharp. It also increases the risk of breakage and makes them difficult to sharpen. This can be prevented by processing the steel in a certain way. The price of these knives is a lot higher.

FAQ
Can I wash this chef's knife in the dishwasher?
Yes, the Diamant Sabatier Koksmes Riyouri 15 cm is dishwasher-safe. However, Cookinglife recommends rinsing the knife by hand and drying it immediately. That's the simplest way to keep the cutting edge in top condition for as long as possible. The seamless finish between blade and handle makes cleaning easy and hygienic.
How often should I sharpen this knife?
Thanks to the high-alloy X45CrMoV15 steel with a hardness of 56–57 HRC, the cutting edge stays sharper longer than most standard kitchen knives. How often you need to sharpen depends on how intensively you use the knife, but you'll clearly need to do it less often than with softer steel. • For daily maintenance a regular honing steel is sufficient — it's quick and easy. • The knife has a European grind angle, which makes it robust and versatile: suitable for fine cutting as well as firmer items. Regularly drawing the blade along a honing steel keeps the cutting edge optimally sharp.
What exactly does the lifetime warranty cover?
Diamant Sabatier provides a lifetime manufacturer's warranty on the Koksmes Riyouri 15 cm. This warranty covers material and manufacturing defects. Wear from normal use or damage caused by improper use are not covered. The warranty applies to the product itself and is a direct commitment from the manufacturer.
Is a 15 cm blade long enough for large cutting tasks?
For most kitchen tasks, 15 cm is exactly the sweet spot. The blade is long enough to easily cut through half a cabbage, a firm pumpkin, or a block of cheese. At the same time it’s compact enough for precision work like fine chopping and filleting. • Wide blade: useful for transferring sliced ingredients from the cutting board with the flat side. • European grind angle: robust enough for hard vegetables such as carrots and celeriac. • Compact size: gives you more control for cutting that requires precision. Those who regularly cut very large pieces of meat or fish may opt for a longer blade, but for everyday cooking 15 cm is a versatile choice.
What makes the handle of the Riyouri comfortable to use?
The handle of the Diamant Sabatier Koksmes Riyouri features an anti-slip texture. That ensures you maintain your grip even when your hands are wet or when you need to chop quickly. The balance between blade and handle is carefully calibrated so the knife feels like an extension of your hand. The seamless transition between blade and handle is also hygienic: no bacteria or food particles get trapped in gaps or seams.

Goed kwalitatief mes.
