Is the pan dishwasher safe?

No, this cast-iron skillet is not dishwasher safe. After use, wash the pan only by hand: use warm water and a brush, but no harsh cleaning agents. Then dry it immediately and thoroughly — damp cast iron rusts quickly. Finally, rub the pan with a thin layer of vegetable oil.

Which kitchen utensils are best to use with this pan?

Preferably use kitchen utensils made of wood or plastic. That prevents scratches on the cast iron and protects the seasoned layer you've built up. Metal spatulas are technically also usable — cast iron is robust enough — but wood or plastic is the better choice for the longevity of the surface.

Is the pan also suitable for the BBQ or open fire?

Yes. The Blackwell skillet works on all common heat sources: gas, electric, induction and ceramic hobs, and also in the oven, on the BBQ and over an open fire. The solid cast iron withstands extremely high temperatures.
