Alfi Vacuum Jug / Insulated Jug Dan - Wisteria - 1 Litre
12 hours hot, 24 hours cold – thanks to a vacuum-tempered glass inner bottle
Airtight twist closure – retains heat and aroma
alfiDur hard glass – hygienic and taste-neutral
A good thermos jug is like a reliable kitchen friend: it’s always there for you, keeps everything warm until the perfect moment, and looks stylish enough to leave on the table. The Alfi Dan Thermos Jug in Wisteria is exactly that - and a bit more. Because this is not an anonymous jug that you hide away in the cupboard. This is a design piece by Ole Palsby, Scandinavian-inspired, in a soft lilac shade that instantly gives your table a warm, culinary character.
Whether you’re brewing a large pot of coffee in the morning for the whole family, planning a quiet tea ceremony for yourself, or hosting guests who stay all afternoon - with this insulated jug from Alfi, your drink is always at the right temperature. No rushing to refill, no lukewarm coffee, no moment of disappointment.
Why the Alfi Dan Wisteria will become your new favorite jug
- 12 hours hot, 24 hours cold - Thanks to the alfiDur vacuum hard glass inner bottle, coffee and tea stay warm for a long time, and cold drinks remain surprisingly refreshingly cold.
- Taste neutral and hygienic - Hard glass does not affect the taste of your drink. What you pour is what you taste - pure and unadulterated.
- Airtight screw closure - The aromas and warmth are expertly sealed in. Not a drop lost, no scent that disappears.
- BPA-free plastic housing - Safe, lightweight, and sturdy enough for daily use.
- Scandinavian design by Ole Palsby - Timeless, functional, and beautiful enough to showcase on any table.
- 1 liter capacity - Plenty of space for multiple cups, so everyone gets their share.
The alfiDur inner bottle: this is what it’s all about
What truly distinguishes the Alfi Dan from an ordinary jug lies within. The alfiDur vacuum hard glass inner bottle is the core of everything. Vacuum technology means there is no heat transfer between the inner bottle and the outside air - that’s why your coffee is still steaming hot after four hours when you pour it. Hard glass is not only stronger than regular glass, but it is also completely taste neutral. Your fresh filter coffee, your carefully brewed tea, your cold iced tea with mint: everything tastes exactly as it should. No metallic or plastic aftertaste, just pure enjoyment.
This is no coincidence, this is Alfi craftsmanship. A brand that has been making thermos jugs for decades and knows that the inner bottle makes the difference between a good and a great jug.
A design that completes your table
Let’s be honest: you don’t want an ugly jug on your breakfast table or during a culinary gathering with friends. The Alfi Dan in Wisteria is designed by Danish designer Ole Palsby, a name that is spoken with respect in design circles. The result is a jug with soft lines, a good grip, and a color - that warm lilac Wisteria shade - that is both calm and inviting. It fits just as well with an informal weekend breakfast as with a neatly set table for guests.
With its dimensions of 190 x 160 x 240 mm and a weight of 840 grams, it is also pleasant to use: not too heavy, sturdy enough, and the screw closure opens smoothly with a small wrist movement. Pouring is easy and drip-free - a small but oh-so-pleasant detail for anyone who has ever had an ugly coffee stain on the tablecloth.
Maintenance and use
The Alfi Dan is a hand wash favorite. The hard glass inner bottle is hygienic and easy to clean with warm water and a soft brush. No dishwasher needed - and honestly, hand washing for a thermos jug is simply the smartest choice, so all parts stay in top condition for a long time. Just rinse, let dry, and it’s ready for its next service.
Want to get the most out of your jug? Rinse it before use with hot water (or cold water for cold drinks) - that gives your inner bottle the right starting temperature, so your insulation performance is optimal.
💡 Cookinglife Tip: Brew a full liter of coffee or tea in the morning, and pour throughout the morning without having to brew again. Ideal for a busy workday at home, a slow Sunday morning breakfast, or when hosting guests and just wanting to enjoy instead of constantly running to the kitchen.
