FAQ

Is this cutlery dishwasher-safe?

Yes, the Sola Florence cutlery set is fully dishwasher-safe. That's due to the material: 18/10 stainless steel, an alloy of 18% chromium and 10% nickel. That combination makes the cutlery rust-resistant and suitable for the dishwasher.

How do I care for this cutlery so it stays looking great for years?

18/10 stainless steel is one of the most low-maintenance materials for cutlery. A few practical tips: • Simply put the cutlery in the dishwasher after use — the stainless steel is fully dishwasher-safe. • Remove the cutlery from the dishwasher immediately after the wash and dry it off to prevent water spots. • Do not use abrasive cleaners or steel wool; a soft cloth is sufficient. Because of its rust-resistant composition, this cutlery does not require any special treatment.

How many people is this set suitable for, and what exactly is included?

The Sola Florence set is designed for 9 people and contains a total of 90 pieces. The set includes: • 9 table knives • 9 table forks • 9 table spoons • 9 dessert knives • 9 dessert forks • 9 dessert spoons • 9 cocktail/ice cream spoons • 9 cocktail/cake forks • 12 teaspoons • 1 sauce ladle • 2 serving spoons • 1 salad spoon • 1 salad fork • 1 cake server With this composition the set covers both everyday use and an elaborate dinner completely.

What does '18/10 stainless steel' mean and why is it a good choice?

18/10 stainless steel is a steel alloy consisting of 18% chromium and 10% nickel. That ratio is no accident: • Chromium provides the rust-resistant properties and the shiny, silver-white appearance. • Nickel gives the cutlery extra hardness and resistance to corrosion. The higher the nickel content, the stronger and more durable the cutlery. 18/10 is therefore the highest quality standard for stainless steel cutlery.

Is the Florence cutlery set suitable for daily use, or is it more of a 'gala set'?

The Sola Florence is designed for daily use and special occasions. The design is deliberately simple: rounded shapes, a comfortable grip with a groove in the handle, and no excessive decoration. That makes the cutlery versatile — from an everyday meal to a festively set table. The rust-resistant 18/10 stainless steel also withstands frequent dishwashing, so it keeps its shine with intensive use.
