FAQ

Is this cutlery dishwasher-safe?

Yes, the Sola Hollands Glad cutlery set is fully dishwasher-safe. The cutlery is made of 18/10 stainless steel — an alloy of 18% chromium and 10% nickel. That composition ensures the cutlery remains rust-free, even after repeated dishwasher cycles.

What exactly is included in the set?

The Sola Hollands Glad cutlery set is a 24-piece set for 6 people and contains the most commonly used cutlery pieces: • 6 × Tafelmes Hollands Glad • 6 × Tafelvork Hollands Glad • 6 × Tafellepel Hollands Glad • 6 × Koffielepel Hollands Glad Dessert cutlery or serving pieces are not included in this set.

How do I care for this cutlery to keep it looking good?

Thanks to the 18/10 stainless steel, this cutlery requires little maintenance. Practical tips to keep the cutlery in good condition: • Dry the cutlery promptly after washing to prevent water spots. • Do not store it in prolonged contact with strongly acidic foods or salt water. • Do not use scouring pads or abrasive cleaners — these can scratch the surface. The 18/10 steel is naturally stainless, which means that with normal use it retains its silvery-white shine.

How many people is this cutlery set suitable for?

This set is configured for 6 people. Per person you get a table knife, a table fork, a tablespoon and a coffee spoon — a total of 24 pieces. That makes the set ideal for a fully set table at a dinner or a celebratory moment with family or friends.

What is the difference between 18/10 and regular stainless steel?

Not all stainless steel is the same. The designation 18/10 refers to the alloy composition: 18% chromium and 10% nickel. That ratio gives the cutlery several concrete advantages: • More shine: the higher nickel content provides a bright, silvery-white appearance. • Better corrosion resistance: the combination of chromium and nickel makes the cutlery extra resistant to rust. • Longer lifespan: 18/10 is the quality standard for high-grade table cutlery. Cheaper cutlery is often made from 18/0 steel, without nickel, which makes it less shiny and less resistant to corrosion.
