FAQ

Is this cutlery dishwasher-safe?

Yes, the Sola cutlery set Hollands Glad is fully dishwasher-safe. This is due to the material composition: 18/10 stainless steel is an alloy of 18% chromium and 10% nickel. That combination makes the cutlery rust-resistant and able to withstand dishwasher conditions. Just put it in the dishwasher — no fuss, no exceptions.

How do I care for this cutlery to keep it looking great?

18/10 stainless steel cutlery is deliberately designed for daily use with little extra maintenance. A few practical tips: • Dishwasher: the cutlery is dishwasher-safe, so you can put it in the machine. • Prevent stains: dry the cutlery immediately after washing — this prevents water spots or limescale buildup on the silvery surface. • Avoid aggressive cleaners: do not use abrasive cleaners or steel wool; these can damage the surface. The 18/10 alloy ensures the cutlery is rust-resistant and retains its shine with normal use and care.

How many people is this set suitable for and what exactly is included?

The set is composed for 12 people and contains 100 pieces in total. This is what you get: • 12 table knives • 12 table forks • 12 table spoons • 12 dessert knives • 12 dessert forks • 12 dessert spoons • 12 cocktail/ice cream spoons • 12 cocktail/cake forks • 2 serving spoons • 2 sauce spoons The set covers both the main course and dessert and the serving needs for a fully laid table.

What does '18/10 stainless steel' mean exactly and why is it a good choice?

18/10 stainless steel denotes stainless steel with an alloy of 18% chromium and 10% nickel. That ratio is exactly what makes this material so suitable for cutlery: • Chromium provides rust resistance and the shiny, silvery appearance. • Nickel adds extra hardness and gives a smooth, sleek surface that keeps its shape. The result is cutlery that withstands daily use, the dishwasher and moisture — without discoloring or rusting. 18/10 stainless steel is considered the highest quality standard for stainless steel cutlery.

Is this cutlery set suitable as a gift or for special occasions?

Absolutely. The Sola cutlery set Hollands Glad is a complete set for 12 people — making it ideal for large dinners, holidays or as a generous wedding gift. The timeless Hollands Glad design suits both modern and classic table styles. In addition to standard table and dessert cutlery, the set also includes cocktail/ice cream spoons, cocktail/cake forks, serving spoons and sauce spoons — so the table is fully set for any occasion.
