The Riedel Cabernet Wine Glasses Extreme are perfect for full-bodied, complex red wines with lots of tannin. The generous size of this glass allows the bouquet to fully develop and smooths out the rough edges. It accentuates the fruit, reduces the bitterness of the tannins and creates a balanced wine.

The Riedel Extreme Cabernet wine glasses are specially designed for full-bodied, complex red wines with plenty of tannins. The generous shape allows the bouquet to fully open and smooths the rough edges of tannin — bringing the fruit forward at its best. Think specifically of grape varieties such as: • Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc • Merlot and Petit Verdot • Pauillac • Brunello di Montalcino • Bordeaux (red) For lighter red wines you should choose a narrower glass; this size is really intended for the heavier, more characterful wines.

This set contains 2 Riedel Extreme Cabernet wine glasses. Each glass has a capacity of 800 ml — a generous size deliberately chosen so the bouquet of full-bodied red wines can fully develop.

What material are these wine glasses made of?

The Riedel Extreme Cabernet glasses are made of ultra-thin crystal glass. Crystal glass is noticeably lighter and thinner than regular glass, providing an elegant drinking experience. Because of the thin walls you hardly feel the glass in your hand, while it still feels sturdy in use.

Are these wine glasses dishwasher-safe?

Riedel crystal glasses are generally fragile due to the ultra-thin walls. For best results and long life we recommend washing crystal glasses by hand with warm water and a mild detergent. This keeps the glasses clear and minimizes the risk of damage.

Is this a complete set or do I need to purchase accessories?

You will receive 2 complete wine glasses — ready to use. There are no separate parts or extra accessories needed. If you want to further complete your serving experience, you can find matching accessories in the Cookinglife assortment such as wine chillers, decanters and pourer stoppers, but these are not included in this set.
