Are the Puccini-flutes safe to put in the dishwasher?
Yes, the Leonardo Puccini-flutes are fully dishwasher-safe. After the party they just go in the machine — no fuss with handwashing. What makes these glasses extra special is that they don’t lose their clarity and shine after repeated washes. No cloudy film, no dull surface, no tiny scratches that age the glass. The glass retains its transparency and elegance, even after dozens of dishwasher cycles.
How many glasses are in the set and what size are they?
The set contains 6 champagne flutes. Each glass has a capacity of 280 ml and a height of 260 mm. With six glasses you’ll have enough for a cozy couple, a small group of friends, or a family dinner.
Can I use the Puccini-flutes for Prosecco or Crémant, or are they only suitable for champagne?
The Puccini-flute is suitable for all sparkling wines. Whether you’re uncorking a bottle of Moët, pouring an Italian Prosecco, or serving a glass of Crémant: the slim-shaped bowl flatters every pour. You can also use the glasses perfectly for a mimosa at brunch. The tall, narrow bowl is functionally designed to preserve bubbles and aromas, regardless of the type of sparkling wine you pour.
Why is the narrow bowl shape of the Puccini-flute better for champagne than a wide glass?
The shape of a champagne glass directly determines how you taste the drink. The Puccini-flute has a tall, narrow bowl that does two things: • Keeps bubbles longer: the limited opening traps CO2 longer, so your champagne retains its lively effervescence. • Concentrates aromas: the narrow bowl gathers the aromatic compounds so the scent and flavor develop optimally toward your nose and palate. A wide glass lets bubbles and aromas escape much faster — with a good flute you taste the difference immediately.
Where are the Leonardo Puccini-flutes made and from what material?
The Puccini-flutes are made in Germany. They are machine-made glasses of proven quality. The glass is scratch- and break-resistant, which makes them suitable for regular celebratory use — not a decorative piece for the display cabinet, but glassware you reach for time and again.
