Can I use this tableware in the microwave?
The Cookinglife Serviesset Delice Grijs is made of high-quality earthenware and is oven-safe. The product information does not state explicit approval for microwave use. If you want to be sure your tableware can go in the microwave, use it only in the oven, where it is suitable.
How do I keep the glaze on this tableware looking good?
Taking good care of your tableware is easy if you keep a few things in mind: • Use a mild dish soap when washing by hand — harsh detergents can damage the glaze. • Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads; they will scratch the surface. • Let the plates dry thoroughly before storing them. • Taking the plates out of the dishwasher? Check the bottom rim — it can still be a bit damp after washing and may leave rings on your table or cabinet. This is normal for earthenware. The set is dishwasher-safe, so daily use in the dishwasher is fine.
Are individual pieces or extensions available, such as soup bowls?
The Delice Grijs line is a complete dinnerware set for 6 people, consisting of 6 dinner plates (ø 26,5 cm), 6 deep plates (ø 21 cm) and 6 breakfast plates (ø 19 cm). Additional items from the same line, such as soup bowls, are currently not in stock. Keep an eye on the product page for updates about the availability of separate add-ons.
Can I combine this tableware with dishes I already have?
Yes — and that is exactly one of the strengths of this set. The neutral grey colour and the timeless design make the Delice Grijs highly suitable for mixing with other tableware and table decorations. Whether you have a warm wooden table, linen table runners or dishes in another colour — grey usually goes well with them. Note that slight colour variations can occur due to the glazing process; this is characteristic of earthenware.
How big are the different plates exactly, and is that size enough for a main course?
The set includes three sizes, each suitable for a different moment at the table: • Dinner plate: ø 26,5 cm — ample enough for a full main course with side dishes. • Deep plate: ø 21 cm — ideal for soup, pasta or risotto. • Breakfast plate: ø 19 cm — suitable as a breakfast plate, dessert plate or side plate. The 26,5 cm dinner plate is a common size for a main course and provides enough space to plate your dish neatly.
