About Cookinglife

FAQ

Are these bowls also suitable for use in the microwave?

Yes, the Delice Grijs bowls are microwave-safe. You can use them to quickly reheat dishes. They are also oven-safe, so with this set you really have versatile bowls at home.

How do I properly care for the glaze of these bowls?

With a few simple habits you can keep the glaze in top condition: • Use a mild dish detergent — abrasive cleaners or scouring pads will damage the surface. • Let the bowls dry thoroughly before storing them. • Removing them from the dishwasher? Pay attention to the bottom ring — it can still be a bit damp after washing, which may leave rings on your table. This is normal for earthenware and applies to almost all earthenware tableware.

Do these bowls match other tableware from the Cookinglife range?

The neutral gray color of the Delice-lijn has been intentionally chosen: it pairs easily with almost any other tableware. Whether you put other gray shades, white or warm earth tones on the table — these bowls sit harmoniously among them. Slight color differences between the bowls can occur due to the glazing process; that is a characteristic of earthenware, not a defect.

For how many people is this set suitable?

The set contains 6 bowls, which makes it immediately suitable for a table of six people. Each bowl has a diameter of ø 12 cm and a capacity of 300 ml — a handy size for individual portions of soup, salad, dips or dessert.

What material are these bowls made of and how sturdy are they?

The bowls are made of high-quality earthenware. That material is known for its sturdiness and withstands daily use. Earthenware is naturally a bit heavier and more robust than porcelain, which contributes to the durability of the set.
