FAQ

Is de Bormioli Rocco Capitol karaf dishwasher safe?

Glass carafes from Bormioli Rocco are generally made of sturdy, high-quality glass. For the best results and a longer lifespan we recommend hand-washing the Bormioli Rocco Capitol karaf. Use warm water and a mild dish soap, and dry it thoroughly before putting the stopper back on. This helps keep the glass clear and the stopper sealing properly.

How do I remove any odors or whiskey aromas from the carafe?

A carafe that you use frequently can retain aromas over time. To freshen it: • Rinse with warm water immediately after use — the simplest method. • Baking soda and water — fill the carafe with a mixture of warm water and a teaspoon of baking soda, let it sit for a while, then rinse thoroughly. • White vinegar — a short soak in diluted vinegar water effectively neutralizes stubborn odors. After cleaning, always let the carafe dry without the stopper so no moisture is trapped.

What exactly is included in the packaging?

The packaging contains the Bormioli Rocco Whiskey Karaf Capitol including the matching stopper. The stopper seals the carafe completely so your drink is well preserved. No additional accessories or glasses are included.

Is the carafe only suitable for whiskey, or can I store other drinks in it?

The Capitol karaf is designed as a whiskey carafe, but thanks to the airtight stopper and the neutral glass it is also well suited for other spirits such as cognac, rum or whisky alternatives. The glass does not absorb flavors or odors, so each drink retains its own character. The capacity is 700 ml.

How should I store the carafe when I'm not using it?

Always store the empty carafe clean and dry. Place it on a stable, flat surface away from direct sunlight — prolonged exposure to UV light can affect the contents. Preferably store the carafe without the stopper on when it is empty so no moist air is trapped. If you want to store the carafe filled, close the stopper tightly for optimal preservation of the drink. The carafe has a capacity of 700 ml.
