FAQ

Can I wash this cutlery set in the dishwasher?

Yes, the Sola Luxor cutlery set is fully dishwasher-safe. You can simply put the pieces in the dishwasher after a dinner — no hassle with handwashing. Tip: remove the cutlery from the dishwasher promptly after the cycle and dry it immediately. This prevents limescale spots and helps preserve the high-gloss finish for as long as possible.

For how many people is this set suitable, and what's included?

The set is designed for 8 people and contains a total of 70 pieces. Per person you get: • Dinner knife, dinner fork and dinner spoon • Dessert knife, dessert fork and dessert spoon • Coffee spoon and cake fork In addition, the set contains serving pieces for the table: • 2 serving spoons • 1 sauce ladle • 1 salad spoon + 1 salad fork • 1 cake server All pieces are from the Sola Fleurie line.

What is the difference between 18/10 stainless steel and regular stainless steel?

18/10 stainless steel refers to the composition of the stainless steel: 18% chromium and 10% nickel. It is the highest quality grade for cutlery. What that means in practice: • More shine: the nickel content gives the cutlery that deep high-gloss finish. • Better rust resistance: chromium protects against oxidation, even after frequent use and washing. • More durable: 18/10 stainless steel cutlery lasts significantly longer than lower grades such as 18/0 or 13/0. The Sola Luxor is made of 18/10 stainless steel.

Does this cutlery match any dinnerware and table setting?

The sleek, minimalist design of the Sola Luxor is deliberately kept versatile. Whether you have modern, understated dinnerware or classic porcelain — this cutlery fits in. It works just as well for an everyday meal as for a festively set table. The neutral, timeless line makes combining easy.

How do I keep the shine of the cutlery over time?

With a few simple habits your Sola Luxor cutlery set will look like new for years: • Dry immediately after the dishwasher: by wiping the cutlery dry straight away you prevent limescale build-up and water spots. • Don't soak in water for too long: even stainless steel prefers to avoid prolonged contact with standing water. • No abrasive cleaners: use a soft cloth or sponge to avoid scratches on the surface. • Avoid salt residue: make sure cutlery does not come into direct contact with the dishwasher's salt compartment. The high-gloss finish of 18/10 stainless steel is itself highly resistant to discoloration and rust.
