Are these wine glasses dishwasher-safe?

Riedel Extreme wine glasses are made from ultra-thin crystal glass. Crystal is fragile — handwashing with warm water and a mild dish detergent is the safest way to keep the glasses looking good for a long time. This prevents scratches, clouding and breakage that can occur in the dishwasher.

What wines are these glasses best suited for?

The Riedel Extreme Cabernet glasses are specially designed for complex, full-bodied red wines with high tannin levels — think Cabernet Sauvignon, Bordeaux blends and similar robust red wines. • The large bowl (800 ml) gives the wine room to breathe. • Fruit flavors become more pronounced. • The bitter tannin taste becomes softer and more balanced.

How should I store these glasses?

Store the glasses upright or hang them upside down in a glass rack so dust and odors don't collect in the bowl. Make sure the glasses don't knock against each other while stored — the ultra-thin crystal glass is light and breaks more easily than standard glass. A separate glass storage sleeve or ample space in the cabinet provides the best protection.
