No, the dishwasher is not a good idea for this cutting board. Acacia wood does not react well to prolonged moisture and high temperatures — that can warp the wood and make it more likely to crack or split. Simply wash the board by hand after use: warm water, a little dish soap, and dry it thoroughly afterwards. Also don’t leave it soaking in water for long periods. That way you’ll keep the board in top condition for years.

How do I care for the cutting board so it lasts a long time?
