That’s a sensible question to ask beforehand. The pan has an enameled non-stick coating, which indicates a cast-iron or steel base — materials generally suitable for multiple heat sources. How do I clean the mussel pan best?

With an enameled non-stick coating, cleaning is fortunately not a hassle. Follow this approach to keep the pan lasting a long time: • Let the pan cool down before cleaning — thermal shocks are bad for the enamel. • Wash it with warm water, a soft sponge and some dishwashing liquid. • Do not use scouring pads or aggressive abrasive cleaners — they will damage the enamel. • Dry the pan thoroughly after washing to prevent rust. Handwashing is the recommended method to keep the enamel in good condition.
