FAQ

Are these dishes suitable for use in the oven?

Yes, the Cosy & Trendy Crème Brûlée Schaaltjes are suitable for oven use. They are made to withstand high temperatures — up to 500 °C — so you can safely use them to caramelize the sugar crust with a blowtorch or to bake in the oven.

How do I prevent my crème brûlée from sticking to the dishes?

If you want to be sure the contents come out easily, grease the dishes before use and dust them with a little flour. You can also use baking paper. This prevents burning and ensures a neat portion that comes out cleanly.

How many dishes are in the set and what is the diameter?

You receive a set of 4 dishes. Each dish has a diameter of ø 13 cm. The wide, shallow shape provides a maximum crispy surface — exactly what you want for a classic crème brûlée.

Can I use these dishes for other recipes?

Absolutely. Although they are specially designed for crème brûlée, these dishes are also excellent as tart molds for small pastries or other oven-baked desserts. The profiled edge also gives other preparations a nice, well-finished look.

What is the advantage of the profiled edge on these dishes?

The profiled edge is not only decorative — it gives each dish a beautiful, neat finish on the outside. That way a portion looks immediately presentable when served straight to the table. That makes the dish both functional and presentable.
