Combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Add the eggs and milk and mix together. Melt 50 g butter and add this along with the syrup to the batter, then mix again.
Heat the poffertjes pan over medium-high heat. Put some of the batter into a dispensing bottle. Brush the poffertjes pan well with butter. Squeeze the batter into the cavities, filling them just below the rim.
Cook them for 1–2 minutes until bubbles appear on the top. Then turn them with a poffertjes fork. Cook the other side until golden brown as well.
Remove them from the pan with the fork and grease the pan again. Cook the next batch and repeat until the batter is used up.
A basic recipe is used for the stewed pears, or buy them ready-made. Cut them into pieces and serve the poffertjes with the stewed pears, a pat of butter and powdered sugar.
