About Villeroy & Boch
Villeroy & Boch Deep Plate / Pasta bowl Artesano Original - ø 24 cm
Strong premium porcelain, durable and high-quality
Elegant tableware
Perfect for pasta, soup and bowls
Some dishes deserve more than a flat plate. A silky bisque, a generous bowl of ramen, a rustic pasta with plenty of sauce - these moments call for the right vessel. The Villeroy & Boch Soup Plate Artesano Original is exactly that: a deep plate that holds your food, your presentation, and your table setting together with effortless elegance.
Why this plate belongs on your table
- Perfect depth for every dish - At 53mm deep, it holds soups, stews, pasta, and risotto without spilling. The ideal companion for the dishes you love most.
- Premium porcelain quality - Villeroy & Boch uses high-grade porcelain that stays brilliant white wash after wash. No fading, no scratching, no compromise.
- Oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe - Cook, serve, reheat, and clean. This plate moves through your kitchen routine without missing a beat.
- Timeless design - The Artesano Original is classic without being boring. It fits every table setting, every occasion, and every style of cooking.
Built for real kitchen life
The premium porcelain construction means it can take the heat up to 180 degrees Celsius in the oven. Warm your plates before serving, pop leftovers back in for a quick reheat, and let the dishwasher do the rest.
The round 24cm shape is generous enough for a proper serving but elegant enough not to dominate your table. The 650-gram weight gives it that satisfying, quality feel without being cumbersome. This is a plate you'll reach for instinctively, every single time.
The art of a great serving moment
There is something deeply satisfying about serving a meal in the right bowl. A slow-cooked tomato soup ladled into the Artesano Original plate looks like a proper course. A herb-scattered gnocchi suddenly becomes a moment worth sharing. That clean, creamy white porcelain acts as the perfect backdrop - it lets your food take centre stage, the way it always should. The gentle depth keeps sauces where they belong: in the bowl, not on the tablecloth. Whether you're serving a rustic French onion soup or a Sunday morning shakshuka, this plate makes the experience feel intentional and generous.
A collection worth building
The Artesano Original series is one of those rare tableware collections that truly stands the test of time. Once you have one piece, you'll want more - and that's actually a great thing. Build your table setting the way you build a great menu: one considered choice at a time. Every piece works together, and every piece works just as hard on its own.
💡 Cookinglife Tip: Warm your Artesano Original plates in the oven at a low temperature before serving soups or stews. It keeps your dish hotter for longer at the table - a small trick that makes a big difference when you're serving a crowd.
