Can I use this mug in the microwave and dishwasher?
Yes, and that makes it extra convenient for everyday use. The Villeroy & Boch NewMoon mug is both microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe. You can heat your coffee or tea in the microwave, and the mug can go in the dishwasher without any problems. The premium porcelain is non-porous, so the mug looks like new after every wash.
Is this mug also suitable for cold drinks?
Absolutely. The NewMoon mug has a capacity of 310 ml, which is plenty for cold coffee or iced tea with ice cubes. The smooth, non-porous porcelain doesn't absorb odors or flavors, so your drink always tastes clean and pure — whether it's hot or cold.
Does this mug pair well with other tableware?
Definitely. The clean, pure white design of the NewMoon mug blends effortlessly with almost any tableware, no matter your style. Minimalist, rustic, modern or classic — the timeless design simply fits. The mug is also part of the wider NewMoon collection from Villeroy & Boch, so you can easily complement and expand the range.
How do I care for this mug so it looks good for a long time?
The premium porcelain from Villeroy & Boch is robust and requires little extra care: • Dishwasher: just put it in — the material retains its smooth, glossy surface. • No scouring pads: use mild cleaners to avoid scratches. • No lingering odors or tastes: because of the non-porous material you don't need to scrub extra to remove residues from previous drinks. Villeroy & Boch has been producing ceramics in Germany for more than two centuries, with a precision that means this is not disposable tableware.

The Villeroy & Boch NewMoon mug makes a great gift for anyone who loves coffee, tea or other hot drinks. It is a premium product from a renowned German brand with more than two centuries of expertise. The timeless, asymmetrical design looks stylish and distinctive without being excessive. The mug has a capacity of 310 ml and is microwave- and dishwasher-safe, which also makes it practical for everyday use.
Straightforward ordering online, arrived as described within days in extremely well protected box. Great service - will use again when I break my next mug!
