Can I clean the etagere in the dishwasher?
The etagere is made of black metal. As a general rule for metal serving pieces: hand washing is the safest choice. The dishwasher can damage the coating or finish, causing the etagere to lose its stylish appearance. Use lukewarm water with a mild dish soap and a soft cloth — this will keep it looking good.
What exactly is included with this product?
With the Cookinglife Etagere 4 Laags you receive the following: • 4 shelves, each 15 x 15 cm • 1 sauce dish measuring 5 x 5 x 4 cm One of the four shelves has a special notch so the included dish fits securely. Cookinglife advises placing that notched shelf with the dish at the top of the serving tower.
Is the etagere suitable for both sweet and savory serving?
Absolutely. The four 15 x 15 cm shelves provide enough space for a varied presentation. Think of: • Sweet treats such as macarons, petit fours or chocolates • Savory bites such as bruschetta, cheese cubes or charcuterie • Fresh fruit or small pastries The included sauce dish is handy for dips or tapenade to complement your selection of bites.
How stable is the etagere during use?
The etagere is a serving tower with four stacked shelves, intended for light bites and snacks. Since each shelf measures 15 x 15 cm, they are compact — a deliberate design choice for an elegant, clean look on the table. Heavier or wet dishes are best avoided; stick to light and dry treats for the best result. The material is black metal, which gives the construction solidity.
Can I place the shelves in a different order than recommended?
In principle you can arrange the shelves as you prefer, but Cookinglife advises placing the notched shelf — for the sauce dish — at the top. That position provides the most stable and balanced distribution for the serving tower. The notch is specially designed for the included 5 x 5 x 4 cm dish so it stays in place.
Heb het nog niet in elkaar gezet, heb het wel gecontroleerd gezien de doos kapot aankwam (is dit product ooit geretourneerd geweest?), vond het in ieder geval te prijzig om hem terug te sturen en een nieuw product te vragen, dus de volgende keer wel graag de verpakking controleren of deze nog degelijk is alvorens het op te sturen!
Plankjes klemmen aardig alleen moet je de plankjes en klemmetjes waarin ze zitten niet teveel buigen, anders breken ze af op het kleine laspuntje wat er zit. Bij ontvangst was er ook 1 lipje verbogen van een klemmensetje wat ik voorzichtig heb terug gebogen hopende dat het niet afbreekt.
