FAQ
Can I use the cups in the microwave?
Yes, the Studio Tavola coffee set – Storm is microwave-safe. So you can heat your coffee or cappuccino without having to swap the cups. The earthenware is made to withstand daily use, both in the microwave and in the dishwasher.
How do I prevent rings from forming under the cups?
After washing in the dishwasher, the underside of earthenware cups can remain damp, which can leave rings on your tabletop or coaster. This is normal for earthenware and not a manufacturing defect. • Allow the cups to dry thoroughly after the dishwasher before placing them on a sensitive surface. • Use a coaster or saucer for extra protection. Quickly dry the bottom with a tea towel before storing or using the cups.
What is the difference in capacity between the cappuccino cups and the coffee cups?
The set includes two sizes: • Cappuccino cups – 310 ml, ideal for a larger cappuccino or latte. • Coffee cups – 200 ml, perfect for a regular coffee or an espresso lungo. Each size comes in a set of 6, so you'll have enough of both for guests.
Is the set also suitable for tea?
Yes. The coffee cups (200 ml) and cappuccino cups (310 ml) are both perfectly suitable for tea. The capacity matches a standard teacup, and the earthenware retains heat well. The set is therefore versatile for hot drinks, not just coffee.
What material are the cups made of and how do I care for them?
The cups are made of earthenware, a durable material that withstands daily use. For care: • Dishwasher-safe – you can put them in the dishwasher. • Microwave-safe – reheating is no problem. • Note: the bottom can be damp after the dishwasher; a quick dry will prevent rings on your tabletop. Earthenware is naturally a bit more porous than porcelain, which explains this moisture behavior.
I love them!
